SOLD French JTL Violin - "Copie de Nicolaus Amatius"

This lovely full-size French violin c1910 is in excellent condition. No damage or restorations, just a few minor scratches to varnish.

Label reads "Copie de Nicolaus Amatius" etc, but branded JTL (Jerome Thibouville Lamy) on top block.

Finer than the usual JTL, inlaid purfling and select woods. Lustrous deep red varnish, original throughout.

It has a new set-up with quality ebony fittings with a professionally cut bridge.

Good sounding violin, easy response across strings.

Length of back 357mm. Suitable for a student aiming for Grade 8 and beyond.
