SOLD French Viola 15 1/2" by & labelled Jerome Thibouville-Lamy 1929

This lovely antique French viola was made by JTL. It is labelled and dated 1929.

It is in excellent condition with no damage or restorations, practically mint. Deep red/brown varnish, original throughout with hardly any signs of wear.

Excellent tone for a viola in this price range, easy response across all strings and a lovely sonorous C string.

It has a new set-up with quality ebony fittings, Dominant strings with a bridge by Withers.

Length of back 15 1/2" (395mm).

This is a great sounding instrument suitable for a student aiming for Grade 8 or discerning amateur.
