This is a lovely antique full-size violin labelled and made by Louis Lowendall in 1889. It is also stamped on the back of the pegbox, and reads "Berlin" below button on back.

It has a delightful one-piece maple back cut on the slab, with ebony pins.

Good condition - just small repaired crack to lower rib. Very little wear to varnish. Powerful tone, easy response across all strings.

It has a professional set-up with quality ebony fittings and Dominant strings. Length of back 358mm.

Suitable for a serious student aiming for grade 8 and above and the discerning amateur.
