SOLD Violin by & labelled Chipot-Vuillaume c1900

Client:

Year:

This lovely antique full-size violin was made in Paris by Chipot-Vuillaume at the turn of the century. It has an original label with a number "7899" or is it "1899"?.

It is in excellent condition with a lovely two-piece flamed maple back, matching ribs, typical blackened chamfers. The lower rib has been slightly "squeezed" by a chin rest which has left dents in the edgework - but all appears firm. No cracks or other restorations.

It has a new set-up with quality ebony fittings, a professionally cut bridge and Pirastro Tonica strings.

It has a lovely warm golden/amber oil varnish which is completely original. Length of back 359mm.

Suitable for a grade 8 student and above.

Free brand new case. Free shipping within UK. Happy to ship world-wide.
