This first rate antique full-size violin was made for Hart & Son c1918. Label reads "Made for, Hart & Son, 28 Wardour Street London W".
It is in excellent condition without damage or restorations. Golden amber varnish is plentiful and original throughout, just a few very minor scuffs, practically mint.
It has a very handsome two-piece flamed maple back and matching ribs.
Chamfers picked out in black.
Plenty of power with a full tone and easy response across strings.
It has a new set-up with quality ebony fittings, a professionally cut bridge and Pirastro Tonica strings.
Length of back 360mm.
This is a great sounding instrument suitable for college/academy students or the discerning amateur.
