SOLD Antique Mittenwald Violin

This lovely antique full-size violin is probably from the Mittenwald area of Germany circa 1880, but has no label.

It has some repairs (damage to pegbox & lower rib) but appear firm.

Fairly tight grain to spruce top with a two-piece lightly flamed maple back and matching ribs.

It has a lovely golder amber varnish with the odd scratch mark.

Don't let the repairs put you off, this is a good sounding instrument for a bargain price.

Suitable for students aiming for Grade 8.
