Full-size antique violin branded internally Thiriot. However, I am unable authenticate that this is violin by Thiriot.
Excellent condition - minor repairs to right ff hole area (professionally restored). Historic restorations to scroll. Some wear to corners, edgework and neck commensurate with its age.
Unusually has a one-piece front as well as a one-piece back.
It has a new set-up with quality ebony fittings, a professionally cut bridge and Helicore strings.
It has a lovely warm golden red oil varnish which is completely original (some wear to the varnish on the front). Length of back 362mm.
