This lovely antique full-size French violin is labelled "The Carrodus Violin 1909 No. K67". These violins were imported from France by Haynes & Co, London.
It is in excellent condition with no damage or restorations, practically mint. Just a few minor scratches to varnish.
It has a good looking two-piece flamed maple back and matching ribs. Neat workmanship. Lovely golden/amber varnish, original throughout, with chamfers picked out in black.
Excellent tone for a violin in this price range, easy response across all strings.
It has a new set-up with quality rosewood fittings, a professionally cut bridge and Pirastro Tonica strings.
Length of back 360mm.
This is a great sounding instrument suitable for a college/academy student or discerning amateur.
