German full-size violin most likely from the Markneukirchen region c1880 - no label.

It is in excellent condition, no cracks or restoration, just a miniscule bump to one corner.

It has a good looking two-piece fairly tightly flamed maple back. Lovely golden/amber varnish, original throughout. The button has an ebony crown and the back of the pegbox is branded "concert violin".

Excellent tone for a violin in this price range, even response across strings.

It has been set-up with quality ebony fittings and Pirastro Tonica strings.

Length of back 358mm.

This is a good sounding instrument suitable for a student aiming for Grade 8 or a discerning amateur.
