SOLD Probably French violin c1920

This lovely antique full-size violin is probably French from the turn of the century, but has no label.

It is in good condition with a two-piece fairly tightly flamed maple back and matching ribs.

The neck has been altered to correct the elevation - this repair has been done to a high standard.

It has a new set-up with quality ebony fittings, a professionally cut bridge and Tonica strings.

It has a lovely deep red varnish which is completely original, with the odd scratch mark.

This is a good sounding instrument suitable for students aiming for Grade 8.
