Lovely Antique French full-size violin by and labelled F Barbe.  Label reads "F Barbe, Membre de la Societe Melophile d'Avallen 1892".
 
Excellent condition, no repairs, just scuffs to varnish and edgework.
 
Golden amber/orange varnish - original throughout.
 
Two piece elegantly flamed maple back with matching ribs.
 
Set-up with ebony and rosewood fittings, Pro Arte strings.
 
A terrific sounding violin in this price range.
