SOLD European 7/8 Violin, possibly French

SOLD European 7/8 Violin, possibly French

7/8th or small full-size violin, possibly French with fictitious label "Gavinies, rue S Thomas du Louvre, a Paris 1734".  Most likely late 19th/early 20th century.

LOB: 352, perfect for smaller hands

Terrific sound for a smaller violin, rich/soft/gentle with a good response.

Good condition, historic repair to ff hole wing - appears firm.

Lovely two-piece back with strong flame, matching ribs.

Small flecks/scratches to the amber varnish.

New set-up with ebony fittings, a professionally cut bridge and Pro Arte strings.

Happy to ship.
